The National DNA Database®
Annual Report
The FSS now carries out the day-to-day running of The National DNA
Database® (NDNAD) under contract to the Home Office. Please

Review of the Forensic Science Service®

A radical overhaul was
announced by the Home Office in a comprehensive review of The Forensic
Science Service® (FSS®) which was completed in July 2003.
.
The review, headed up
by the former chief executive of the BOC Group, Robert McFarland,
looked at the delivery, performance and responsiveness of the FSS
and the way in which it contributes to the work of the Police Service,
Home Office objectives and the wider needs of the Criminal Justice
System.
